Looking Glass began as an art blotter, a place for wiping brushes, clearing color, and releasing excess paint. What started as a byproduct became the beginning. Layers of spontaneous marks, accidental blends, and leftover gestures formed the foundation, and from there, the painting took on a life of its own. What was background becomes the subject. This piece is about transformation, about seeing possibility in what’s overlooked.
