Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Bookkeeper at Kerri Rosenthal in Westport, CT. The Senior Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing financial statements, bookkeeping tasks, accounting software, finance-related activities, and journal entries in accounting on a day-to-day basis.

Job Duties

Submit and monitor credit requests from the Factor.
Manage credit and dilution notices from Factor daily.
Record remittances, note differences (including chargebacks to be disputed)
Reconcile Payments from Factor to remittances.
Reconcile monthly bank and credit card statements
Work with the CFO to close out the fiscal month for financial reporting
Financial reporting
Reconcile AR aging report to ERP.
Enter all approved invoices daily.
Work with CFO weekly on selecting and managing timely payments to all vendors.
Get all approved invoices organized by month and vendor
Responsible for upkeep and accuracy of all vendor information.
Reconcile credit card purchases against approved expenses.
Reconcile all bank and credit card transactions.
Assist managing cash flow statement

Required Skills & Experience

3-5 years in a bookkeeping role
At least one year of experience with QuickBooks and Shopify.
Ability to create and monitor budgets and track to
Windows and Excel Proficiency
ERP experience a plus
Must be a self-starter with ability to prioritize tasks.
Excellent communication skills required.
Flexibility and problem-solving ability a must
Ability to function in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
Report writing skills in Excel
Financial reporting and analysis

Qualifications

Financial Statements and Accounting Software Proficiency
Bookkeeping skills and experience
Knowledge of Finance principles
Ability to analyze and create Journal Entries
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management
Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
