Design Internship
These are dive right in positions, that will give our interns direct experience in each of these departments. They will have the opportunity to learn, hands on. Our interns must have the best work ethic, a wanting to learn, a self-starter, ability to trouble shoot, great team player, stop drop and roll attitude to help others in other departments and most of all.
Responsibilities:
- Assist design team with all aspects of the design process
- Organize samples and trims by maintaining trim library
- Sketch and update CADs in Illustrator after meetings and fittings
- Update and organize various binders for fabrics/CADs/trims/artwork
- Maintain functional and organized office space by helping to file paperwork, trims, fabrics and color swatches and hang/organize samples
- Strong attention to detail a must
- Great presentation skills, both verbally and visually
- Fast sketching and ability to do quick mock ups ideal
- Ability to focus and manage multiple seasons at once
- Ability to shift priorities accordingly and work in fast paced creative environment
- Ability to take direction and deliver timely results.
Qualifications:
- Good understanding of Photoshop, AI is a must
- Ability to communicate with vendors directly and timely to execute designs
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to plan day in a fast paced environment and make quick decisions
